At least 15 people died last morning, including three minors, and another 37 were injured due to a bus accident that occurred in the Mexican state of Jalisco, as reported by the Civil Protection body of that state.

The bus, belonging to a private company, had left from the town of Los Ayala, in Nayarit, and was heading to the city of León, in Guanajuato. The vehicle left the road for unknown reasons and fell down a hill.

Health workers from the Mexican Red Cross and different emergency services from the area have traveled to the scene of the accident, who treated the injured, who were transferred to different hospitals in nearby towns. Likewise, forensic experts and members of the Prosecutor’s Office appeared to proceed with the removal of the corpses. The injured have been distributed by various hospitals in the area.
