At least 20 coal miners were killed in a brutal attack by armed gunmen in the Makran district of Balochistan province, southwestern Pakistan. Local officials confirmed the incident, which occurred as miners were reportedly heading home from work.
The assailants targeted the miners and abandoned their vehicles on the roadside. After the attack, security forces were deployed to the area to pursue the attackers.
