8h41 : Nearly 100 dead in attacks on health centers, says WHO
Nearly 500 attacks targeted health centers in Ukraine during the first six months of the Russian invasion, announced Wednesday, August 24, the World Health Organization. These attacks, deemed “inadmissible” by the head of the European branch of the WHO Hans Kluge, left at least 98 dead and 134 injured.
Of the 473 attacks confirmed so far, 399 have hit health facilities, 127 stocks, 69 means of transport including ambulances, 58 staff, 24 patients and 12 warehouses.
