MADRID, 17 May. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The leader of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic, Denis Pushilin, has reported this Wednesday that five people have died and 23 have been injured as a result of several bombardments by the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the city, occupied in the framework of the invasion unleashed on February 24, 2022.

“I offer my condolences to the families of the victims. 23 people were injured, including a 13-year-old teenager,” he reported on his Telegram profile, adding that the victims are already receiving medical assistance.

Pushilin has also highlighted that due to the shelling, at least 25 residential buildings and five civilian facilities have been damaged. Previously, he had warned in another message that the Ukrainian forces were bombarding the region since this morning.

The latest bombardments last Saturday left six injured. In addition, a four-year-old boy and his mother were killed by a Ukrainian missile strike at his residence in the Kuibyshev district of the city of Donetsk, Pushilin reported.
