At least 21 people were shot and injured and one died Wednesday in shootings during festivities in Kansas City celebrating Sunday’s Chiefs victory, authorities said during a press briefing at 5:30 p.m. (12:30 a.m. in Paris). According to firefighters, 8 victims are in critical condition, 7 in serious condition, and 6 are lightly injured. In total, three men were arrested and several weapons were found. The motive was not immediately known.
