Several people died in a mass panic at a religious shrine in Indian-controlled Kashmir. As a representative of the AFP news agency announced on Saturday morning, “at least twelve people were killed and 13 were injured”. But the number of deaths could still rise. Accordingly, a great many believers were on their way to the shrine.
According to the authorities, the faithful flocked to the shrine for their traditional New Year’s visit to pray there.
