“On the night of September 6-7, at least 7 “Shahed” kamikaze drones flew into the territory of Belarus, and one Russian reconnaissance UAV of the “Supercam” type also flew, possibly for the first time,” the report reads.

In addition, according to the monitoring group, one of the drones flew into the Brest region and continued to move north.

“This “shahed” flew into the Gardin area (for the first time during the entire observation) and flew all the way to Koreličiai and Novogrudok, towards the border with Lithuania. This “shahed” could have flown over Belarus to the north about 200 km, what happened to him further is “unknown”, – clarifies “Gayun”.

It is also known that fighter jets and helicopters of the Belarusian Air Force flew in the sky over Belarus throughout the night.

“In total, fighter jets of the Belarusian Air Force took off from the Baranovichi airfield 4 times, and helicopters – twice. Aviation was observed not only in the south of the country, but also in the very north – in the vicinity of Ostrovets and Vileika,” added the representatives of the monitoring group.

On the night of September 7, Russian soldiers attacked Ukraine with dozens of kamikaze drones. In total, the Russian Federation launched 67 drones across Ukraine, and air defenses shot down 58 Shaheds.

At that time, according to the Ukrainian Air Force, six drones flew to Russia, Belarus and the temporarily occupied Luhansk region. Three more drones were lost on the spot.

It should be noted that this is not the first time that Russian drones have flown into Belarus during Russian attacks on Ukraine. For the first time, such a flight was recorded on July 12, and in total at least nine Shaheds arrived in Belarus in July.

At the end of August, aviation was used for the first time in Belarus to shoot down a Russian drone. In addition, during the Russian shelling in Ukraine on September 5, Belarus even confirmed a nighttime air defense operation against drones, but did not call them “Russian”.
