REPORTAGE – Charles III officially became the new King of England after the Council of Accession was proclaimed from the balcony of one of London’s oldest palaces.
Gathered in front of the alley leading to Saint James’s Palace, a crowd of several thousand people awaits. The silence is heavy, just like the atmosphere, crushed by a gray and cold sky. A trumpet sounds, announcing the fateful moment. The audience freezes and listens. Cell phones and cameras go down. We see nothing but we hear everything.
