Meteorological Department has given a glimpse of severe heat wave in Bangladesh. This heat wave may start from next 15 or 16 April.
According to the department, Vapsa will be hot due to excess water vapor in the heat wave. However, there is a possibility of rainfall in different parts of the country in the next two to three days.
Meteorologist Omar Farooq said there is a possibility of rain in the weather forecast for the next five days. During this time the temperature will also increase. There is a risk of severe heat wave on April 15-16. Even if it rains, heat waves can continue.
Next April 14 (Sunday) is Pahela Baishakh, Bengali New Year. According to the information of Meteorological Department, severe heatwave will continue across the country at the beginning of Baisakh. Later, meteorologist Omar Farooq said that there is a possibility of rainfall across the country from April 16 to 19.
In the beginning of this month of April, mild to moderate heat waves started in different parts of the country. Among them, the maximum temperature of the country crossed 40 degree Celsius in Chuadanga. However, after rain in various parts of the country, including the capital, the temperature dropped on Sunday. The average maximum temperature of the country in this month is 33.2 degrees Celsius.
Meanwhile, on Friday (April 12) morning, the weather forecast stated that the heatwave over several districts of the country may continue. An extension of the western low pressure is located over West Bengal and adjoining areas. Seasonal normal low pressure is located over South Bay of Bengal.
In this situation, the weather over the country may remain mainly dry with partly cloudy sky from 9 am on Friday in the next 24 hours. However, mild to moderate heat wave is prevailing over Barisal division including Dhaka, Faridpur, Madaripur, Moulvibazar, Chittagong, Rangamati, Feni and Bandarban districts and may continue.
From 9 am on Saturday, the weather over the country is likely to remain mainly dry with partly cloudy skies during the next 24 hours. During this time, the day temperature may rise slightly across the country and the night temperature may remain almost unchanged.
The forecast for the next 24 hours from 9 am on Sunday said that the weather will remain mainly dry across the country with temporary partly cloudy skies. Day and night temperatures may rise slightly across the country during this time.
The extended five-day forecast says temperatures may rise further and rain or thundershowers may occur in eastern parts of the country.
