The Academy discussed the roadmap in the direction of “Quantum sensors”

The meeting of the Scientific Council of the Russian Academy of Sciences on Quantum Technologies was held on Thursday, February 2, in the building of the Academy of Sciences at Leninsky Prospekt, 32, in Moscow.

Academicians discussed promising projects in the field of “Quantum sensors”.

The meeting was opened by the Chairman of the Council, President of the Russian Academy of Sciences Gennady Krasnikov, noting the special importance of quantum technologies for raising the scientific and technological level of the country.

Specialists from various scientific organizations, such as VNIIFTRI (Russian Metrological Center), ISAN, Moscow State University. Lomonosov and others, presented the development of quantum electric field sensors, highly sensitive photodetectors, gas detectors, temperature sensors and magnetometers. The developments of miniature quantum clocks and absolute atomic gravimeters were presented by two institutes at once.
