At the end of the first phase of Paulista, Sub-20 thrashes Nacional

This Friday (16), Tricolor thrashed Nacional by 6-0 in Cotia, in a match valid for the 10th round of the first phase of the Paulista Under-20 Championship. The goals were scored by Newerton, Luiz Henrique, Talles (twice), Alves and Luís Felipe.

With the result, São Paulo ends this initial stage of the tournament with 24 points, with seven wins and three draws.

The second phase of the state will be played between June 24th and August 26th. The teams that were between the first and second place in their groups, in addition to the best third-placed teams, remain in the dispute.

For this Friday’s game, Belletti climbed the Tricolor with Felipe Preis; Maik, Ythallo, Lucas Inácio and João Douglas; Clauvis, Boer and Luiz Henrique; Newerton, Caio and Maioli.

Made In Cotia had control of the game from the beginning and opened the scoring in the 35th minute of the first half, when Newerton received the ball on the right end, infiltrated the area and crossed the ball. The attacker still had a deflection of the opposing marker to swing the nets.

The second goal occurred in the initial stage, at 49 minutes. Caio received a cross and headed it, the goalkeeper parried it and Luiz Henrique appeared to take advantage of the rebound.

To start the second half, Belletti changed the team and put Talles in Maioli’s place. The striker needed just two minutes of play to expand to São Paulo.

Talles again showed opportunism in the 14th minute. After a nice exchange of passes in the offensive field, the number 11 freely received in the area and scored once again.

Even with the favorable score, Tricolor continued to press and scored twice more in the final stretch of the match. The fifth goal came in the 44th minute, when Alves received the ball in the area, dribbled past the opponent and finished calmly. Soon afterwards, João Douglas received the ball near the small area to seal the 6-0 victory.
