The second edition of the CEO of the Year Awards was held at the LA RAZÓN headquarters in Madrid, which this year was attended by 38 winners and their guests in an event that spanned a large part of the day. The winners and their guests came punctually to the appointment and the presenter Marina Castaño began the awards ceremony.

The event was chaired by Eugenia Carballedo, the president of the Madrid Assembly until the day before, as well as Andrés Navarro, CEO of LA RAZÓN, and Francisco Marhuenda, director of the newspaper. After Castaño’s welcome words, Francisco Marhuenda took the floor, who tried to explain a definition of what a CEO is. Marhuenda alluded to the fact that the figure of the CEO is one of the oldest in humanity, since “there have always been leaders who direct human teams.”

Marhuenda wanted to put the accent on the people who make up the company teams. “You represent companies whose success is based on people,” said the director. “You can be the brightest CEO, but if you don’t know how to manage your team, you’re not going anywhere,” he explained. At this gala, he continued, “we reward people who know how to manage people.”

After these words of welcome, Castaño took the floor again and, after inviting Francisco Marhuenda and Eugenia Carballedo to go on stage to present the awards, the awards ceremony began.
