At the initiative of Azerbaijan, a joint briefing was held at the headquarters of the United Nations (UN) on the VI World Forum on Intercultural Dialogue.
According to Day.Az, the joint briefing, held at the UN headquarters in New York, was moderated by Nihal Saad, director of the UN Alliance of Civilizations (UNAOC).
Speaking at the briefing, UN Deputy Secretary General, High Representative of the UN Alliance of Civilizations Miguel Angel Moratinos expressed satisfaction that the organization is one of the partners of the Gulf countries at the VI World Forum of Intercultural Dialogue on the topic “Dialogue for Peace and Global Security: Cooperation and Interaction.” .
The diplomat noted that the World Forum for Intercultural Dialogue will be a platform that will create opportunities for increased interaction with a whole range of stakeholders, including religious leaders, representatives of civil society, organizations, youth, women, academia, the professional and business communities.
A short video about the World Intercultural Forum was shown at the briefing. The presented footage reflected the history, rich culture, and natural resources of Azerbaijan, and provided extensive information about the history of independence of our country and the creative and restoration work carried out in the liberated territories of Azerbaijan.
The head of the working group of the organizing committee of the VI World Forum on Intercultural Dialogue, Deputy Minister of Culture Farid Jafarov, who spoke at the briefing, informed the briefing participants about the history of the forum.
