Marseille players celebrate (Reuters)

Is the French league cooking us an interesting championship fight? A look at the table after seven games shows that Marseille is not going to give up so quickly. Tonight (Saturday) the Blues beat Lille 1:2 and have 19 points, just like Paris Saint-Germain.

In front of the roaring velodrome, the game did not start well for Marseille and in the 12th minute Ismaili scored 0:1 for Lille. In the 26th minute it was Alexis Sanchez who equalized the result and in the second half Samuel Gigot completed the turnaround on the way to 1:2.

Marseille will stay at home and on Tuesday will host Eintracht Frankfurt in the second round of the Champions League. They will then host Rennes for another big game in the league, while Lille will return to the north and host Toulouse in the next round.
