Atalanta maintained its hopes of competing in the next Champions League, by beating Salernitana away from home this Monday, 2-1, in a duel valid for the 35th round of the Italian Championship.
With the victory, the Bergamo team reached 60 points, in fifth place, four behind Bologna, the first team with a place in next season’s Champions League, but with one more game to play. Salernitana confirmed its status as the worst team in the competition, with just 15 points, in last place.
Tchaaouna, 18 minutes into the game, opened the scoring for Salernitana. Atalanta’s goals only came in the final stage. Scamacca, at 12, and Koopmeiners, at 18, secured the comeback victory.
