The organization carries out different types of checks to ensure that everyone receives the “right entitlement”, that is to say the right amounts at the right time. But these controls have been industrialized since the 2010s: in around 70% of cases, the visit of a CNAF agent to the recipients’ homes is carried out on the basis of the “risk score”. For ATD Fourth World, this is a system “discriminatory and impoverished”. She sees it as a form of “institutional mistreatment which has serious consequences on the lives of beneficiaries”regretting that digital tools are put at the service of a “social control” rather than access to rights. In its press release, the association requests the abandonment of the system and the opening of a parliamentary commission on the subject.
