“Atemlos” has been the second national anthem for ten years. Now it is at number one on the German hit parade for the first time. However, no longer in the original, sung solely by Helene Fischer, but by Helene Fischer in a duet with Shirin David: “Breathless through the night until a new day awakens.” In the 2023 Advent version, the 28-year-old Shirin David raps that people, thank God, are different, “Dress code: rainbow flag!”
