Gopi: Tamil Nadu Housing Minister Muthusamy said that the Athikadavu-Avinasi project is likely to start this month.
On the occasion of Chief Minister Stalin’s birthday, Housing Minister Muthusamy provided welfare assistance to 400 beneficiaries at Odathurai near Kaunthappadi in Erode district yesterday. Then he said:
In the Athikadavu-Avinasi project, if we had talked about the problem with the farmers, the project would have been completed then and there. As the previous governments did not do that, they did not cooperate with the project.
When the DMK came to power, they talked to the concerned farmers and solved the problems, and now the work has been completed and the trial run for the project is going on. Had it not been for the by-election in Erode East, the project would have started. The Chief Minister is going to launch the project very soon. There is a possibility that the Athikadavu – Avinasi project will be started by the current month of March. It will be decided on the advice of the Chief Minister.
