2-day athletics competitions for boys and girls started yesterday at Kumarapalayam Government Girls Higher Secondary School. Principal Education Officer Maheshwari presided. Sivakami, Headmistress of Girls Higher Secondary School hoisted the national flag. Police Sub-Inspector Malarvizhi took the parade honors and lit the Olympic flame. More than 200 students participated in this. Prizes were awarded to the winners.
