ROVERETO. Gianmarco Tamberi takes center stage in the 60th edition of the Palio Città della Quercia in Rovereto. The world and European high jump champion takes victory with 2.29 on his second attempt, greeted by the applause of the ecstatic crowd, just a few days after his 2.27 for third place at the Golden Gala in Rome.
It’s a beautiful evening in Trentino for Gimbo who places the decisive measure after having also cleared 2.26 in the second attempt while the Jamaican Romaine Beckford had succeeded in the first but then failed at 2.29.
