A new wave of political hopefuls has emerged in the Atlántico department as the Radical Change party officially registered its candidates for the 2026 House of Representatives elections on Thursday, December 4th, with the Special Registry of Barranquilla. Senate Registration Underway
The Radical Change party’s registration process for Senate candidates commenced on December 5th in Bogotá. According to César Lorduy, a former magistrate and aspiring Senator, those candidates located outside the capital must complete their registration through the Delegate Registrar’s Office.
“We are coordinating to define the time when it will be done: tomorrow, Saturday or Sunday, because you will understand that this requires reserving some spaces in the Registry so that everything goes in order,” a senior official stated. “the legal team is involved in this process, but the registration of the match takes place tomorrow.”

Lorduy emphasized the extensive groundwork already laid by the candidates, highlighting their engagement with communities, businesses, unions, and students throughout the region.
“We have done it with dedication,discipline and honor,representing Barranquilla,the Atlántico,the Caribbean,and obviously with many ideas,hopes and dreams that I collect from citizens so that I not only represent them,but also that their voice is heard with respect and decency,but without allowing the resources and needs of the region to continue being denied,as has been happening,” Lorduy noted.
