ATM services, which were disabled when the Taliban seized power in Afghanistan, have resumed today.

The decision was taken after a series of talks with commercial banks and a consortium of banks, the country’s central bank, Da Afghanistan Bank, said in a statement.

It also said it would launch ATM services in specific areas in an effort to bring the banking system and its services back to normal. However, a person is restricted to taking 20,000 Afghans a week.
