The sky is generally cloudy. Moderate rain is likely to occur in the city. The maximum temperature will be around 28°C and the minimum temperature will be around 23-24°C. The sky will remain partly cloudy for the next 24 hours. Light/moderate rain may occur at few places. The maximum temperature will be around 29-30 degree Celsius and the minimum temperature will be around 24 degree Celsius.

Due to the atmospheric circulation prevailing over North Inner Tamil Nadu, the districts including Thiruvallur, Villupuram, Mayiladuthurai received heavy rain.
Villupuram district had received heavy rains for the past few days due to Cyclone Mandus, but there was some respite. In this case, yesterday there was heavy rain in Villupuram, Kolianur, Vikravandi, Arasur and other areas. It rained in Marakanam, Vanur, Tindivanam and other areas.
