ATP Tokyo and Beijing: Sinner and Cobolli pass, Arnaldi, Bellucci and Sonego out in the first round

Matteo Arnaldi and Mattia Bellucci exit in the first round, the two Italians competing today at the “Kinoshita Group Japan Open Tennis Championships”, the ATP 500 underway at the Ariake Colosseum in Tokyo.

Sonego out

A good first set isn’t enough for Lorenzo Sonego. The Turin native makes his debut at the ATP 500 at the Olympic Green Tennis Center in Beijing.

The Turin player, winner this year in Winston Salem, was defeated 1-6 6-2 6-3 by Adrian Mannarino, who becomes the 12th Frenchman in the Open era to reach 300 career victories on the major circuit. In the second round Mannarino will face the winner of the match between Gaël Monfils and the Russian Daniil Medvedev.
