Four died at the border between Jordan and the West Bank
A man driving a car opened fire this morning while crossing the border between Jordan and the West Bank at the Allenby Bridge, killing three Israelis. Israeli authorities said this, and made it known that the attacker was killed in the ensuing gunfight. “A terrorist approached the Allenby Bridge area coming from Jordan”, the Israeli military authorities said, “he got out of the vehicle and opened fire on the security forces and we were eliminated”. In the firefight, the army said, “three Israelis lost their lives”.
Israel, all border crossings with Jordan are closed
Israel’s airport authority has announced that all border crossings with Jordan are closed until further notice following this morning’s terrorist attack that claimed three lives. In addition to closing the Allenby crossing, security forces closed the Rabin crossing, near Eilat, and the Jordan River crossing, near Beit Sheaan.
