A police spokesman confirmed when asked by BILD: “Yes, it’s true. We can confirm an operation at night. We are not yet able to provide any further details. State security has been informed and has taken over.”

Means: The officials assume that the crime may have been politically motivated. The announcement of the alleged attackers fits in with this.

The “North East Antifa Berlin” group had written in a tweet: “According to a text on Kontrapolis, the #Rammstein headquarters in Berlin-Reinickendorf was attacked on the night of June 26.”

On the side of “Kontrapolis”, which sees itself as a “news and debate platform for the Berlin area”, it says: “In the night of June 26th we attacked the Rammstein company headquarters in Berlin-Reinickendorf. The windscreens were smashed and the ugly Rammstein logo now reads ‘No stage for perpetrators’.”

And further: “We show solidarity with those affected by organized sexual violence by Till Lindemann and Co. and make it clear: there are consequences for perpetrators like you. This also applies to companies and people who provide them with premises or infrastructure and protect or support criminals. We call on everyone to creatively disrupt, sabotage and prevent the planned Rammstein concerts in Berlin on July 15, 16 and 18.”

The world-renowned band Rammstein has been under criticism for weeks after female fans allegations that they were allegedly treated with knockout drops for sexual assault at the band’s concerts. The band and singer Till Lindemann (60) had vehemently denied the allegations through lawyers.

In Berlin, the public prosecutor’s office is investigating reports by uninvolved third parties against Lindemann and a Russian woman allegedly involved, who is said to have approached women at concerts for parties.

In Vilnius (Lithuania), where the Northern Irishwoman Shelby Lynn made the allegations public after a band concert, the public prosecutor’s office has closed the investigation.
