Nedumangad: A notorious goonda has been arrested in a case of attempted murder in a house for testifying in court. Sajith Raji (31) alias Kannan, a native of Valiyamala Muthiyankavu, was arrested by the Valiyamala police.
Last Tuesday night at 11 pm, Kannan and his army Baiju opened fire on the back door of a Muthiyankavu resident’s house, assaulted the women with machetes and tried to stab the owner of the house with a machete. Neighbors fled as they abandoned the weapon they had brought and fled. C.I. Sajith Raj was arrested under the leadership of Sreejith.
Sajith Raj has 6 cases in Valiyamala police station alone. There are 9 cases in Palode and Valiyamala stations. A special type of sharp weapon was found in Sajitraj’s hand to expel the intestine.
