Attempted Murder Suspect Still at Large in Central Jönköping
The police in Jönköping are yet to make an arrest following an attempted murder that occurred in the central part of the city on Saturday afternoon. A man in his 20s was taken to the hospital with serious injuries after the incident. According to authorities, a decoy was used in the attack.
Fortunately, the police have since confirmed that the man’s injuries are not life-threatening. “We intend to conduct an interrogation with the plaintiff during the evening,” said Mariana Persson, the officer on duty at the police department. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are hopeful that the victim’s statement will help shed light on the incident.
The police have not disclosed the type of weapon used in the attack. For now, the crime scene, located outdoors, has been cordoned off for a technical investigation. This will allow forensic experts to gather any evidence that may aid in identifying the suspect.
