Time.news – Attempted robbery at a security carrier in the evening on the A1 Milan – Naples motorway, in the section between Valsamoggia and Modena Sud, now closed in both directions. The attempted robbery took place at km 177. To cover the escape, the robbers set a vehicle on fire and sprinkled the roadway with nails. None of those involved were injured and the fire in the vehicle was extinguished. The necessary relief operations by the Traffic Police and the reclamation of the section are in progress.
In addition to the traffic police patrols, the fire brigade, mechanical rescuers and staff from the Bologna Trunk Management of Autostrade per l’Italia took part in the event. In the section concerned there were 4 km of queue towards Milan and 2 km of queue towards Bologna. For users traveling from Bologna to Milan, inform Autostrade, it is advisable to exit at Valsamoggia, take the SS9 Via Emilia and re-enter the A1 at Modena Sud; reverse route for those heading from Milan to Bologna.
