Police sergeant Ahmet Bayram, who conveyed the facts of the matter to the court, said that on 10 May 2023, during a search of the suspect Mehmet Ali Özdoğan’s residence in Kyrenia, the suspect Bülent Tuge, who was at the house, was asked whether there was anything illegal in the house or in his possession. Stating that the suspect was neutralized using reasonable force, the police said that as a result of the search conducted at the house, 506 grams of cannabis (skunk), 6 grams of cocaine and 1 gram of heroin, a total of 513 grams of drugs and 23 live bullets, as well as 25 thousand 285 TL, 250 dollars. He reported that he found 360 pounds and 325 euros.
Stating that Mehmet Ali Özdoğan and Leyla Özdoğan, who were in their residence, were also arrested, the police reported that the investigation had just begun and requested time from the court. The court ordered the suspects to be detained for one day.
