jpnn.comJAKARTA – Deputy Speaker of the Indonesian House of Representatives Abdul Muhaimin Iskandar attended the 4th International Youth Summit initiated by the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Youth Indonesia, an umbrella organization for all Islamic youth organizations in Indonesia.
The man who is familiarly called Gus Imin admitted that he was proud of the contribution of OIC Youth Indonesia so far.
According to him, OIC Youth Indonesia has had a positive impact not only on Indonesian youth, but also the world.
“I am truly proud and grateful to the presence of Allah SWT, OIC Youth Indonesia has contributed and has provided various productive and positive activities, not only for Indonesian youth but also plays a role for youth throughout the world,” he said at the Nusantara V Building, DPR/MPR Senayan Complex, Jakarta, Tuesday (24/9/2024).
Gus Imin specifically expressed his gratitude to all the founders of OIC Youth Indonesia who have maintained and kept the organization alive in the last 20 years.
“Thank you to all the founders so that in 20 years this organization has been able to play a very good role. One of the founders who attended was Tatam Taufik Lubis,” he said.
Gus Imin stated that the concern of all OIC members and all elements of the nation as part of world citizens is required to be more serious, especially in facing various dramatic changes at the global level.
This seriousness, he said, indicates that OIC Youth Indonesia, in particular, is preparing itself well to see the various failures, difficulties, helplessness, and incompetence of Islamic countries in particular and all countries in the world.
Deputy Speaker of the Indonesian House of Representatives Abdul Muhaimin Iskandar appreciated the 4th International Youth Summit by calling it productive and positive.
