Prime Minister Modi introduced a new pension scheme for central government employees in India. But all government employees are opposing this new pension scheme. And they put forward various demands. A few states have implemented the old sabbatical scheme. But states including Tamil Nadu are struggling for this. In this case, there may be a good news for the government employees before the New Year. In a couple of years, there is an opportunity to implement the old pension scheme for central government employees. Sources say that PM Modi’s government may consider it before 2024. Subsequently, on the request of the government employees, the government asked the law ministry for its opinion on the old pension scheme. It was asked from which department the old retirement scheme can be implemented.
No concrete response has been given from the Ministry on this. Earlier, Justice and Internet Minister Bhagwat Karat denied reports that the government was considering implementing the old pension scheme during the parliamentary session. And it is said that the opposition parties will pay more attention to this divorce in the elections even if the government refuses. Sources say that a decision will be taken on the old pension scheme in the coming days. Accordingly, the employees who joined the service before 31st December 2003 have the opportunity to implement the old retirement plan. However, no official announcement has been made regarding this. And in the old pension scheme, the pension is based on the last drawn salary. As the rate of inflation increases, so does the discount rate. The pension also increases while implementing the new pay scale. It is because of such benefits that all government employees prefer Old Pension Scheme.
