Muscat: In order to improve customer services, the Ministry of External Affairs is launching attestation services at postal outlets in different parts of the country. In the first phase, attestation services will be provided at the Oman Post headquarters at Airport Heights, Muscat Governorate. The service will be gradually extended to all Oman Post branches in the governorates.
Attestation services include education certificates, medical certificates, corporate project plans certificates, death certificates etc. We understand the difficulty of natives and residents visiting the headquarters of the Attestation Office. With this in mind, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has facilitated the attestation of official documents, including certificates, through Oman Post, said the Under Secretary for Administrative and Financial Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mohammad Bin Nasser Al-Wahibi.
Many people, including Malayalees, had traveled from distant places in Oman and were attesting the documents.
Or it was done by taxi drivers or agents who do such documentation. Therefore, in addition to the attestation charges, one has to pay an exorbitant amount of money.
However, many people point out that such problems will be solved once the new system spreads to other governorates.
