jpnn.com – JAKARTA – The Election Organizer Honorary Council (DKPP) has dismissed Hasyim Asy’ari from his position as chairman of the Indonesian KPU.
The DKPP stated that Hasyim Asy’ari was proven to have violated ethics regarding immoral acts against a woman named Cindra Aditi alias CAT.
CAT’s attorney, Aristo Pangaribuan, called the criminal efforts one step closer.
“The problem is, this is exhausting, actually emotionally draining to report, while CAT (the victim) himself is not actually domiciled here. He is between one step closer, and he wants to move on with his life, but later we will see the situation,” said Aristo at the DKPP RI Office, Jakarta, Wednesday (3/7).
Regarding criminalization efforts, according to Aristo, it can be said to be one step ahead because Hasyim’s actions are increasingly clearly a violation after the Indonesian DKPP issued its verdict.
“If it’s a violation, it’s clear that it’s a violation. Yes, we saw it openly, although not all of it. If you guys saw it earlier, there were some things I cut. Don’t let everything be given to the public,” he explained.
However, Aristo admitted that he was satisfied and sad at the same time with the DKPP RI’s decision regarding the immoral case against his client.
“Satisfied in the sense that it turns out there are still instruments. I was also satisfied, maybe this is the last stern warning like this, but it turns out all complaints were granted, dismissed from the members and the Chairman of the KPU. However, on the other hand, it is actually sad too. It turns out this is how power, especially power in the general election institution, is managed,” he said.
The following is a statement from the legal representative of Cindra Aditi alias CAT, a victim of immoral acts by the Chairman of the Indonesian KPU, Hasyim Asy’ari.
