The Attorney General’s Office has decided to include Sneyder Pinilla Álvarez, former deputy director of Disaster Management, in the investigation for alleged irregularities in the purchase of water tanks and other contracts in La Guajira and Córdoba.

This investigation, which originally focused on former director Olmedo López Martínez, has been expanded after the review of documents by the Third Delegate for State Contracting, who indicated that Pinilla Álvarez could have incurred in irregularities during the pre-contractual and execution stages of the contract.

Desalination plants

The Public Prosecutor’s Office has also included Pinilla Álvarez, along with the former deputy general director of UNGRD, Víctor Andrés Meza Galván, and the vice president of Derivative Contracting of Fiduprevisora ​​SA, Daniela Andrade Valencia, in the investigation opened on May 31. This new investigation examines possible cost overruns in the purchase of three desalination plants worth $42 billion for La Guajira. In this case, the officials mentioned are being investigated for allegedly having managed the call for bidders, selected the contractor and instructed the fiduciary to prepare the contract, while Andrade Valencia signed the contract as a representative of Fiduprevisora ​​SA

Tanker Truck Rental

In addition, the Attorney General’s Office has extended the investigation opened on May 31 against López and Pinilla for alleged irregularities in the contractual process for the rental of 30 tanker trucks in the department of Córdoba. Víctor Andrés Meza Galván and Nelson Raúl Triana Cárdenas, legal representative of the company Proyect ING SAS, have joined this investigation. The Attorney General’s Office maintains that the evidence and documents reviewed justify the analysis of the possible disciplinary responsibility of these officials in the events investigated.
