According to the attraction coordinator for the police in Sörmland, Libbie Oxelblad, if you are from Eskilstuna and looking for work, you will likely end up there. Oxelblad notes that interest in the police training program has been high, and she believes this is due to the program’s adapted form of study. The program lasts two and a half years and is part-time, allowing students to work while they study. Oxelblad believes that this flexibility will allow more people who have dreamed of a career in law enforcement but could not pursue it to apply. The application for the program is open until April 25th, and the training is set to begin in January of next year. The Sörmland Police have chosen to invest in a distance education program, and Oxelblad explains why.
