AU Executive Council: Election of Morocco in the person of Ms. Nadia Annouz to the Advisory Council of the African Union on the fight against corruption

Accra – Morocco was elected, in the person of Mrs. Nadia Annouz, Vice-President of the National Authority for Integrity, Prevention and the Fight against Corruption, Friday in Accra, Ghana, as a member of the African Union (AU) Advisory Council on the Fight against Corruption (AUABC) for a 6-year term, during the 45th session of the AU Executive Council.

Ms Nadia Annouz, candidate from Morocco, won the position of member reserved for the Northern Region on the Union’s Advisory Council on the fight against corruption with a large majority of 35 votes.

This election demonstrates the model expertise of Moroccan profiles in the fight against corruption at the national and continental level.

The Executive Council of the African Union began its 45th ordinary session in Accra on Thursday.

Morocco is represented at this session by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans Abroad, Mr. Nasser Bourita.

The Moroccan delegation is composed in particular of the Ambassador, Permanent Representative of the Kingdom to the AU and the UNECA, Mr. Mohamed Arrouchi, the Ambassador, Director General of the Moroccan Agency for International Cooperation, Mr. Mohamed Methqal, the Ambassador of Morocco to Ghana, Ms. Imane Ouaadil, and the Director of the Greater Maghreb, UMA and AU Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans Abroad, Mr. Hassane Boukili.
