Audrey Fleurot Reveals Traumatic Experience from Early Career Amidst #MeToo Reflection

by time news

Audrey Fleurot recently shared a poignant testimony about a traumatic experience she faced early in her career. During a Q&A session organized by “Le Parisien,” the actress from the series “HPI,” which will end after its 5th season, spoke about a particularly difficult love scene imposed by a director.

She recounts that the scene, which was quite different from what had been planned, placed her in an uncomfortable situation. When she expressed concern about the unexpected change in the script, she was brusquely told: “Are you an actress or not? We’re not going to spend the night on this.” Forced to shoot the scene, she remembers the intense feeling of disgust that overwhelmed her afterward, stating that she felt “robbed,” as if she were a victim of “mini-rape.”

The following day, the humiliation continued when she discovered that the scene would not even be included in the final cut. For her, it was nothing but an unnecessary abuse of power, reinforcing the idea that such practices were normalized at the time. Audrey Fleurot recognizes, in light of the #MeToo movement, that she should have said no to that situation. She praises the changes that have occurred since, asserting that such methods now belong to the past, and that a movement like #MeToo was absolutely necessary to put an end to such abuses.
