Australia knocks Indonesia out of Asian Cup with 4-0 win

/ The Australian national team defeated Indonesia 4-0 on Sunday, on the first day of the 2023 Asian Cup Round of 16, which is currently taking place in the Qatari capital, Doha, to officially qualify for the tournament’s quarter-finals.

The match took place at Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium at 2:30 pm, and ended in Australia’s favour with a score of 4-0.

The first half ended with Australia leading by two goals to none. Indonesian Elkan Bagut scored an own goal to give Australia the lead in the 12th minute of the match. In the 45th minute, Australian player Martin Boyle scored the second goal for his team.

In the second half, the Australians added their advantage in today’s match after adding a third goal in the 89th minute by player Craig Goodwin, and in the 90+1 minute, Australia’s fourth goal came through Harry Souttar.
