Hobart: Australia were bowled out for 303 in the first innings of the fifth Ashes Test against England. Dravid Head, who scored a century, was the mainstay of the Australian innings. He scored 101 runs.
Cameron Green (74) and Marnus Labouche (44) were the top scorers. Alex Carey and Nathan Lyon held on for Australia, who started the second day at 241 for six.
Carrie scored 24 while Lyon scored 31, an unexpectedly good performance. For England, Mark Wood and Stuart Broad took three wickets each while Oli Robinson and Chris Vokes took two wickets each.
In reply, England batted poorly. England’s four batsmen were out for 81 runs. Rory Burns (0), Zack Crowley (18), David Malan (25) and Joe Root (34) were all out. Pat Cummins took three wickets. Rory Burns was on the run.
