Australian contingent arrives in UK for recruitment; Aim to fill 30,000 vacancies

London ∙ A delegation from Western Australia has arrived in the UK for Australian recruitment as the strike continues in various sectors, including nursing in Britain, demanding a pay rise. The group arrived in the UK on February 25. The aim is to conduct job fairs and recruit nurses, police officers and many other workers.

The group of industry leaders is led by Western Australia’s Police and Defense Industry Minister Paul Papalia. Recruitment has started for more than 30,000 job vacancies. Job fairs are held in London, Edinburgh and Dublin. The fair will begin today in Edinburgh, Scotland. Then there will be job fairs in London on March 2 and Dublin, Ireland on March 4.

‘We are here to hire your workers by offering them a better life in one of the most beautiful places. Western Australia is a great place to live and work. Our wages are higher and our cost of living is lower. Our health system is world class. You will be taken care of’ – Minister Paul Papalia said.
