Tsitsipas and Sinner meet. The Greek (N.3) and the Italian (N.15) will face each other in 8e of final. The first easily beat the Dutchman Griekspoor in three sets. The second fell in five sets from Fucsovics after losing the first two.
A Swiatek-Rybakina duel in eighths. The world N.1 Swiatek rolled over the Spanish qualified Bucsa, while Rybakina (N.22) offered Collins (N.13). A nice duel in perspective between the winners of the last two Grand Slam tournaments.
Seeded side (male draw). Khachanov (N.18) offered himself Tiafoe (N.16) in four rounds, when at the same time Hurkacz (N.10) released the talented Shapovalov (N.20). It goes for Auger-Aliassime (N.6), winner of Cerundolo in four sets, but not for Norrie (N.11), released by Lehecka.
Seeded side (women’s draw). Pegula (N.3), Ostapenko (N.17) and Krejcikova (N.20) did not shake, each winner of a Ukrainian: Kostyuk, Baindl and Kalinina. Small surprise with the elimination of Keys (N.10) by Azarenka (N.24). Big surprise with the defeat of Sakkari (N.6) against Zhu.
