With these results, the company Kotai Energy declared that it could offer the transfer of powdered hydrogen better performance, reducing the cost of traditional transportation by 20 times through ammonia charges.
The CEO of the energy company highlighted the superior figures of powdered hydrogen compared to ammonia and said that while a tonne of ammonia gives 178 kg of hydrogen, one tonne of sodium borohydride plus water produces 213 kg of hydrogen.
With this innovation, Australia is expected to lead the ranks as a leading exporter of hydrogen powder, considering the significant reduction in transport costs to other countries and to patent a special electrocatalyst.
