The Spielberg Red Bull Ring circuit hosts this Sunday the Austrian Grand Prixninth test of the Formula One World Cup and second with sprint format, in which the Dutchman Max Verstappen (Red Bull), the championship leader, will start in first position followed at the start line by Ferrari drivers Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz, as determined by Friday’s qualifying session.

The German Nico Hülkenberg (Haas) finished sixthone place ahead of the Frenchman Esteban Ocon (Alpine).

The Englishman George Russell (Mercedes), who started fifteenth, led the comeback of the sprint: he finished eighth and was the last of those who scored; in a short race that awarded eight points to the winner, seven to second, six to third; and so on until the occupant of the eighth place, who added one to his box in the general of the contest
