The Attorney General’s Office (FGR) in coordination with the National Civil Police (PNC) continued this Friday with the raids in different properties linked to Gerardo Quijada Orellana, alias “Mr. Miyagy”, owner of the GQ Racing Sport workshops.

This morning, authorities raided another of the accused’s establishments, located in the Escalón neighborhood of San Salvador.

The authorities are at the headquarters of the GQ Racing Sport workshops, located on Boulevard Constitución. This workshop operated as a tire sales, vehicle repair, car wash, among others.

The Prosecutor’s Office is seeking relevant documentation related to the activities of the various companies operating there.

On Thursday night, the public ministry together with the police began searching the accused’s home and another property, which are located in Santa Tecla, La Libertad and Colonia San Francisco, San Salvador.

During the search of Orellana’s house, $13,844, cell phones, computers, a firearm and documents proving the defendant’s involvement in illegal proceedings were seized.

According to the investigation, the network rented premises in cities with good capital gains, leased them for three or five years as legal representative of a certain company and began paying rent for a couple of months and then stopped paying.

When the property owners or people who supplied him with products charged him, the entity with which they had made the deal no longer existed, it appeared as a different company and the legal representative was another person.

Those affected sought to recover their losses and filed civil lawsuits for breach of contract, but Orellana and his structure hired lawyers to delay the proceedings and thus continue to evade pending or defrauded payments.
