Many Salvadorans and foreign tourists took advantage of the International Labor Day holiday, this Wednesday, May 1, to visit different beaches and resorts in El Salvador with their families and friends.

While Salvadorans visit these different tourist centers, elements of the Armed Forces and agents of the National Civil Police (PNC) have maintained a security deployment in the different recreational points of the country, to guarantee that visitors enjoy a calm and pleasant environment. .

The PNC reported that it maintains preventive operations in places such as the Apulo Creative Park, Amatitán Recreation Center, Vía Vela and Mango beach, in the department of Usulután.

While the Armed Forces deployed soldiers to Lake Ilopango, in San Salvador; Lake Güija in Santa Ana and El Esterón beach, in La Unión.

The authorities indicated that these actions are part of the security strategies of the Territorial Control Plan, a measure implemented since 2022 by the government of President Nayib Bukele and with which they have managed to eradicate the rates of violence that the country suffered in previous years.
