(ANSA) – FOLIGNO (PERUGIA), 08 APR – “The Municipality of Foligno will make available a contribution of 8 thousand euros for one year, for the hiring of personal assistants to support families who have a person with autism spectrum disorder at their internally. It is a measure – says the mayor Stefano Zuccarini – intended for families in social zone 8 to be used to strengthen paths of autonomy, communication and socialization. Resources of 160 thousand euros have been identified and this has made it possible to finance up to twenty requests”.
“In March, the protocol on Disability and fragility between the municipal administration and the network of associations that deals with these issues was signed by the mayor Stefano Zuccarini – recalled the councilor for family and social policies, Agostino Cetorelli – an example of how the consultation table is useful for calibrating public interventions in the best possible way, thanks to a series of associations that have already been meeting for some time and had established a relationship with the municipality on an informal basis, making their point of view available for a more precise mapping of needs”.
