Twice a day, the lights dim, the music and announcements on the microphone stop and the cleaning machines disappear from the shelves. At the Carrefour de Villabé (Essonne), as in most stores of the sign, the general agitation calms down from 12 to 2 p.m. and from 4 to 5 p.m. The objective of these “silent hours”: to allow people with autism, who can easily feel attacked by the external environment, to do their shopping more serenely.
