Auto sales in India up 14% last month over January 2022: Dealers’ Association announcement

Delhi: The Dealers Association has announced that vehicle sales in India increased by 14 percent last month compared to January 2022. Sales of two-wheelers, 3-wheelers, cars, cargo trucks, vans, etc. all rose in January. Sales of two-wheelers increased by 10 percent and 3-wheelers by 59 percent. Sales of cars increased by 22 percent, tractors by 8 percent, and cargo vehicles including trucks by 16 percent.

Bajaj vehicle sales down 21 percent:India’s leading automobile manufacturer, Bajaj Auto, has sold a total of 2,85,995 vehicles in the month of January. This is 21 percent less than in January 2022. Bajaj Auto’s exports also fell by 47 percent in the last month.
