At a press conference attended by Alma Rosa Espindolarepresentative of the General Directorate of the National Institute of Indigenous Languages (It was); Tania Jessica Perez BuendiaGeneral Director of Cultural Diffusion and Services of the UACh and Antonio Zuniga Chaparrodirector of Cenart, gave details of the new edition of the 2024 National Indigenous Languages Fair.
The above, within the framework of the International Day of Indigenous Peopleswhere it was announced that this eighth edition will take place between August 9 and 11 of this year.
The authorities reported that the FLIN “seeks to promote and encourage good Institutional practices and community experiences that promote the exercise of the linguistic rights of indigenous peoples.”

Among the approximately 31 modules that will be available for display and sale, and the almost two dozen traditional food establishments, they highlight: “the more than 80 activities” that will take place at Cenart and at UACh“, which will be open to the public and completely free.
The authorities acknowledged the importance of “making visible, recognizing and sharing the good practices that are already being carried out in different regions of the national territory, in the three levels of government and in various areas of public and private life.”

Some of the institutions that will participate in this edition are, among others, the Institute of Anthropological Research of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), the Autonomous University of Querétaro (UAQ), civil society Rising Voices and the student community of the UACh.
